STANDARDIZATION
Among the works held by Gosstandart and other organizations in the field of energy-saving, the development of normative base is emphasized.
The works on standardization held at the state level in the field of energy-saving are aimed both at establishing new technical normative legal acts and updating existing normative base. This considers priorities in terms of needs of the national economy and internal market, gathered foreign experience and international tendencies in energy-saving.
For implementation of aims and objectives, defined by Directive No. 3 of the President of the Republic of Belarus “Economy and frugality are the main factors of economic security of the state”, “Program for development of the system for technical regulation, standardization and conformity attestation in the field of energy saving” has been adopted.
Within this Program have been developed 129 technical normative legal acts in 2007-2010. More than 80 of these documents are harmonized with international and European requirements.
The new Program for development of the system for technical regulation, standardization and conformity attestation in the field of energy saving for 2011-2015 is addressed to further improvement of normative-technical regulation of energy market.
This program includes development of 136 technical normative legal acts on such actual topics as:
- application of renewable energy sources, local and alternative fuels;
- use of highly economical energy-consuming heat-generating and industrial equipment, electrical and domestic appliances, photometric devices , products of machine industry etc.;
- energy efficiency of buildings;
- energy management and audit of organizations;
- assessment of efficiency and promotion of energy-saving measures in branches
